“Si sale talmente che dicono che sia quello il luogo più alto del mondo. Arrivati a quell’altitudine, si trova un pianoro tra due montagne, dove c’è un gran lago da cui esce un bellissimo fiume. C’è una quantità enorme di montoni selvatici, di una grandezza straordinaria. Le loro corna arrivano ad una lunghezza di sei spanne; di tre o quattro le meno lunghe.” 

"You climb so high that they say it is the highest place in the world. When you get to that altitude, you find a plateau between two mountains, where there is a big lake from which a beautiful river comes out. There is an enormous number of wild sheep, of an extraordinary size. Their horns reach a length of six spans; the least long ones are three or four spans."
